Bindra hits Bull's Eye !!

ABHINAV BINDRA is the name all accross India as of now..

The heat is on about tbe beijing olympics 2008.. it says One World One Dream..!! nice slogan.. the beijing oolympics is a success story of magnificant event management. right from the beginning with the opening ceremony continuing right through the games.

India is fascinated however with first ever individual Gold won by youngest Shooter from India. Its history created. India this time competed in about 23 different sports with a contingent of 56 members representing India.

It has been a tough journey for Abhinav. with 10 yrs of hardwork and persistance finally paying off richly. Its a tough task for India to produce a world class generation of athletes to fetch the medals. There are instances of players such as sharvari in martial arts who had to give up due to financial crisis even as she was representing the country.

I feel a system is to be put into place for generating talent rather than identifyiing and then trying to nurture and polish.

there have to be govt and private sponsored sports schools which will have world class facilities and a hostel facility where in the pupils will be a property of the school to take care and develop.

Being the originator of the methodology of 'tapasya' we have forgotten its worth and importance which is exactly what is followed by these nations to develop world class atheletes.

Tapasya has always had a benchmark of 12 yrs for it to complete. This is the exact time an athelete requires to attain the excellance. the Beijing olympics shows a rmarkable number of gold medalists from china to be in age group of 17-18 which is 5+12 .

In our ancient times too pupil was sent to the guru at the age of 5 and then he was groomed for 12 yes as tapasya..in which he ws made a diamond finely polished and hardened to shine in the world.

Same is to be adopted and India can develop astonishing and baffling breed of atheletes to dazzle the world.

A thought to think about..........
